Common Sense 101

President Obama is putting the finishing touches on an ambitious first budget. He wants to cut the federal deficit in half over the next four years. Mainly by raising taxes on businesses and the wealthy and by slashing spending on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I wasn't an Economics major. But I do know that if you increase the taxes on the rich, it is going to affect the middle class in a negative way.

A wealthy business man spends money. He takes his wife out to dinner & a show. He travels all over the world on his private jet to meet with clients to keep his business alive. He celebrates holidays like birthdays & Christmas like many people. If he is going to pay more for taxes it is going to affect the middle class.

Here's how. He doesn't have the money because it has been taken from him. He will not fly on that private jet. Therefore, not needing a pilot=lost job.

The business man isn't meeting with clients because he he is no longer flying, decrease in clients leads to company layoffs.

No money to take the wife out to dinner & a show. No need for a car service, therefore the car service is loosing business along with the entertainers.

I can go on & on. Hopefully, you get there concept. I know you do because you probably a Conservative if you are reading this blog. It is the left wing nut cases that just don't get it. Are mission is to spread the info & educate them. Show them that the Anointed One that they chose has no clue what he is doing to Our Country. The Country that our Founding Fathers fought so hard for to make it a wonderful place to live.

The Oink Oink Plan

This is another duct tape moment. No I take that back, it's going to be a duct tape 4 YEARS!!!!!!!I just happen to be checking out Drudge & found out that the Stimulus Plan has passed. Are these people for REAL??????? I just don't get it.

Just three Republicans helped pass the plan on a 61-37 vote. Any idea who? Republican Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania.

How about this little bit of info. According to http://www.breitbart.com/, "Moments before the vote, the Congressional Budget Office issued a new estimate that put the cost at $838 billion, an increase from the $827 billion figure from last week." If this doesn't make you mad then I don't know what to say. That seems to be a VERY LARGE amount of money in my eyes.

Betsy McCaughey has an excellent article on Bloomberg.com about the Health Care Part of the Plan. Check out her article at: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/newspid=20601039&refer=columnist_mccaughey&sid=aLzfDxfbwhzs).

I guess I will have to sit down with my children in the near future to explain to them why they are going to have to either work 2 jobs or work an extra 40 hours a week when they become adults.

My dear children, I am very sorry for the mess this society has left you. Sorry kids, let me clarify. That President Obama A.K.A The Messiah & the Democratic Party has left you.

Love,

Mom
